What is Sunday Funday?
A GREAT MEETING PLACE FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN

A children’s group for 3 to 5 year olds who with the help of their mom and/or dad and our coordinator learns about and celebrate the Jewish festivals through arts, crafts and song.
Sunday Funday is held Sunday afternoons once-twice a month (see calendar) either at our locales or in the home of a host family (depending on the activity).

Lessons are taught in English with French translation in a relaxed atmosphere with the aim to instill a love of Judaism, for our children to identify themselves as being Jewish and to provide the basic knowledge to participate in our community’s activities.

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN SUNDAY FUNDAY LAND ?

Come along to our first workshop, September 14th

We’ll be learning about jewish identity, jewish symbols, sing the shema and make our own mezuzah.

Do not forget our children’s services during the high holidays.

What we’ve done previously…

During the last year, our little group covered most Jewish holidays and traditions, learnt some prayers and songs.
This year we will continue to work on these themes and will be including some more bible stories.
At our last session for example, the children had Shavuot as a theme. They created their own little ten commandments with their own rules to obey and also had time to take a quick look at the letters of the Hebrew alephbet.
