More to think about

What is a Jew?

"To be a Jew is to be the inheritor of religious and cultural traditions.

To be a practising Jew is to accept with love and pride the duty of maintaining and transmitting those traditions.

To be a practising liberal Jew is to transmit those traditions within the framework of modern thought, of morality and of an open, tolerant Halakha;
it is to live according to the prophetic ideal – to do justice, love kindness and to walk humbly before God."

Progressive Judaism

Progressive Judaism offers a vision that combines Jewish ritual observance, worship and study with active engagement in contemporary life, and embraces all positive aspects of the secular world.
It embraces all aspects of Jewish civilization, history and culture. More
